Not just another bead shop

"Bijou" in French means "little gems" or "jewels" and "bijouterie" is the term that the French, the undisputed leaders in fashion and style, use for costume or fashion jewellery. Europeans value fashion jewellery and understand the difference a stylish piece of jewellery can make to an outfit. They also appreciate the skill involved in designing and making "bijouterie". My aim is to pass a little of this appreciation on to the students that come to our classes.

We've all bought jewellery from shops and markets (and sometimes expensive boutiques!), worn it once and had it fall apart. From my experience it usually happens somewhere like on the train and you have to go scrabbling round on the floor trying to find your beads which are rolling all over the place!

We aim to pass on to our students the skills for creating unique, beautiful jewellery that is well-designed and constructed, comfortable to wear and suits the wearer's own personal style and colour palette (no more traipsing around the shops looking for that perfect fashion accessory!)

Oh, and to have lots of fun along the way.
